Women's Golf Registers Third Place Finish at CC Championships

WAYNESBORO, Pa. - Following the second and final round of the Centennial Conference Championships, the Franklin & Marshall Women's Golf team came in third place of the team standings. It was the second straight year of finishing in third at the conference championships. 

Jumping three spots in the individual standings, Reilly Melvin turned in a second round score of 78 and a par of +6, good for second best. She tallied an overall score 168 which landed her in eighth place. Janire Egana Vela remained tied for 13th place with a round two score of 89 and total score of 181.

Posting a second round score of 91, Claire Hill sprung into the top-15 with an overall score of 187. Chloe Schnur moved up to 22nd after collecting a round two score of 106, bringing her total to 210. 

Staying put in 30th, Lauren Simpson registered a score of 112 on day two. Her collective score was 225. 

As a team, the Diplomats totaled a team score of 746 and a par of +170 across both days. Additionally, each of Melvin, Egana Vela, Hill and Simpson improved their round score from day one to day two.

F&M finished behind just Marymount and Gettysburg.
