CARLISLE, Pa. - Having wrapped up the second round of the Dickinson College Invitational, the Franklin & Marshall Women's Golf team came in second place of the team standings with a total score of 768 and a par of +192.
After sitting in sixth place through the first round of the event, Janire Vela jumped to fifth place with a score of 87 on day two. Overall, she posted a score of 176 and a par of +32. Just one stroke behind her was
Reilly Melvin, who tallied a score of 177 across both rounds.
Chloe Schnur and
Lauren Simpson finished within three strokes of each other, with the former shooting a 206 and the latter shooting a 209. Both golfers registered a score of 100 on the first day.
Claire Hill fell one spot in the individual standings after yesterday, shooting a 109 in round two for an overall score of 215 and a 19th place finish.
The Diplomats will next venture to the Tanglewood Manor Golf Course for the Millersville Invitational on Saturday, April 13.
