Men's Tennis Prepares for CC Tournament

LANCASTER, Pa. – The Franklin & Marshall men's tennis team gears up for the postseason beginning on Wednesday when the Diplomats host Gettysburg in the first round of the Centennial Conference (CC) Tournament at 4:00 p.m.

Wednesday, May 1 - Lancaster, Pa.
First Round - No. 5 Gettysburg at No. 4 Franklin & Marshall - 4:00 p.m.

Friday, May 3 - Swarthmore, Pa.
Semifinal 1 - No. 4/5 vs. No. 1 Swarthmore - 4:00 p.m.

Friday, May 3 - Baltimore, Md.
Semifinal 1 - No. 4/5 Winner at No. 1 Hopkins - 4:00 p.m.

Sunday, May 5 – at Highest Remaining Seed
Championship - Semifinal Winners - 1:00 p.m.

CC Tournament History
Franklin & Marshall looks make a deep push in the postseason in hopes beginning with Gettysburg on Wednesday. The Diplomats look to earn its first win in the first round of the CC Tournament since the 2018-19 season.

Johns Hopkins 14, Swarthmore 1, Washington College 1

A Look at the Field 
No. 1 seed Swarthmore looks to repeat as CC Champions after winning its first conference title last season. No. 2 seed Johns Hopkins enters the tournament looking to earn its 15th Centennial Conference championship with its last coming during the 2021-22 season. No. 3 seed Haverford had its two losses come against the higher-seeded Johns Hopkins and Swarthmore earlier this year. No. 5 Gettysburg has split its CC matchups with a 4-4 conference record this year.

In the Rankings
Swarthmore is ranked No. 11 in the nation, while Johns Hopkins is No. 15, and Haverford is No. 38. Regionally, Swarthmore is No. 1, followed by Johns Hopkins (No. 2), Haverford (No. 4), and Franklin & Marshall (No. 5).

The Projected Lineup 

No. 1 Singles – Luke Brodsky
Brodsky holds the team-lead in singles' wins with 12 this season, placing himself sixth ranked in Region III for singles.

No. 2 Singles – Zac Ashtiani
Ashtiani sports a 10-11 record and a 5-3 conference record so far this year.

No. 3 Singles – Samuel Donnelly
In his rookie year, Donnelly is 11-11 with an impressive 6-2 record against conference foes. He is also 7-3 in his last 10 matches.

No. 4 Singles – Gonzalo Gentou
Gentou holds a 7-5 record and has won his last four singles matches.

No. 5 Singles – Pedro Norte
With 11 wins this season, Norte has won seven of his last 10 matches while competing mainly in the No. 5 spot.

No. 6 Singles – Soren Rudin-Aulenbach
Rudin-Aulenbach has tallied 11 wins so far into his rookie campaign with eight victories coming in his last 10 matches.

A Look at Doubles 
The No. 1 duo of Zac Ashtiani and Soren Rudin-Aulenbach enters the Centennial Tournament with a 1-5 overall record, so far this season.

Luke Brodsky and Campbell Gervais are 8-8 overall and 6-2 against conference opponents when competing at the No. 2 spot. The duo has posted a 6-4 record in their last 10 matches.

Gonzalo Gentou and Pedro Norte currently hold a 1-6 overall record, so far this season.
