BOULDER CITY, Nev. – At the conclusion of the opening round of the NCAA Championship Tournament, the Franklin & Marshall men's golf team sits in a tie for 18th with a team score of 294 (six-over par). Methodist University currently leads the field of 42 teams with a score of 271 (17-under par) after 18 holes at Boulder Creek Golf Club.
Roy Anderson led the Diplomats through one round of the NCAA Championship as he recorded four birdies to card a 71 and place himself in a tie for 33rd out of 221 individual competitors.
Shane Lawler and
Max Silverman ended the day in a tie for 80th, with both golfers shooting a 74 on the opening day.
Jack Cooley recorded a 75 on Tuesday to finish in a tie for 105th, while
Dominic Sculti shot an 82 to place in a tie for 199th.
Franklin & Marshall will look to make the cut and stay in the top-18 when it begins the second round of the NCAA Tournament on Wednesday.
