BOULDER CITY, Nev. – The Franklin & Marshall men's golf team claimed 14th place at the NCAA Championship after shooting a 286 (two-under par) to end the tournament with an overall score of 1,170 (18-over par). The 14th-place finish is the second-best placement at the NCAA Championship in program history. Methodist University was the winning team in the tournament as it shot 21-under par during the week.
Roy Anderson was the Diplomats' top finisher as he ended the week in the top 10. Anderson carded a 69 on Friday to bring his overall tournament score to 283, which placed him in a tie for eighth.
Max Silverman also recorded a 69 on the final day to move into a tie for 21st to wrap up his first-career appearance in the NCAA Championship.
Shane Lawler tied for 49th after registering a 72 in the final round, while
Jack Cooley tallied a 79 on Friday to finish in 91st. Rounding out the Diplomats,
Dominic Sculti ended the final day with a 76 to place in 96th.
Franklin & Marshall concludes a terrific season that was highlighted by the Diplomats' 14th Centennial Conference title and the program's 17th NCAA Championship appearance.
