Men's Golf Showcases Depth at Flower City Preview, Dickinson Invitational

ROCHESTER, N.Y. – The Franklin & Marshall men's golf team displayed its depth on Monday as the Diplomats competed in two different tournaments. F&M's "A" team wrapped up the Flower City Preview, while the Diplomats "B" team played in the Dickinson Fall Invitational.

The Flower City Preview

Franklin & Marshall concluded the Flower City Preview by shooting a 302 (+26) in the final round to end the tournament in a tie for 13th out of 18 teams competing on Monday. Emory came away with the team win, carding an 833 (-31) in the three-round tournament.

Shane Lawler was the top finisher for the Diplomats, shooting a 75 to place in a tie for 25th in the field of 90 competitors. Roy Anderson carded a 72 in the final round to end the day tied for 29th. Oliver Clark tallied a 76 on Monday to end the round tied for 54th. Max Silverman also carded a 76 to finish the tournament in a tie for 65th. Jack Cooley registered an 80 in the third round to end the weekend in 79th.

Dickinson Fall Invitational

The Diplomats "B" team competed in the Dickinson Fall Invitational, held at Carlisle Barracks Golf Club on Monday. F&M carded a team score of 313 (+25) on the par 72, 6,670-yard course to finish ninth in the field of 20 teams. Millersville earned the win with a team score of 292 (+4) on the day.

Winston Thai recorded the Diplomats' lowest score of the tournament with a 76 to tie for 17th in the field of 99 competitors. Quishi He registered a 78 in the round to finish the day in a tie for 36th. Chris Dorey was close behind as he shot a 79 to tie for 44th in the field. Neal Lavelle and Riley Norton each carded an 80 on the day to end the tournament tied for 80th.

Franklin & Marshall now gets ready to compete in the Northeast Elite Tournament, held at Williamsport Country Club. The two-day tournament is set to begin on Saturday, starting at 8:00 a.m.
