WILLIAMSPORT, Pa. – The No. 23-ranked Franklin & Marshall men's golf team tied for fourth overall out of 20 teams at the two-day Northeast Invitational which wrapped up on Sunday afternoon. The Diplomats shot 293 as a team during the final round to finish in a tie with York (Pa.).
Roy Anderson added another top 10 finish to his season as he finished at even par for the tournament after turning in a one-over (72) score on Sunday. Anderson added another eagle to his tournament and finished the weekend at six-under overall on par-5 scoring. Those three eagles during his two rounds were the most among any player in the tournament.
Max Silverman (+3) and Shane Lawler (+4) were both among the top 25 individual finishers in the field of 104 players. Silverman shot 74 on Sunday after his even par opening round to start the tournament. Lawler made it back-to-back days of 73 with Sunday's round. Oliver Clark also finished with an identical score to Saturday as he posted back-to-back rounds of 74, while Queshi He was the third Diplomat to accomplish that feat after his round of 75.
Men's golf will now wrap up its fall season this coming weekend at the Mason-Dixon Collegiate Classic which will be held at the Waynesboro Country Club. Gettysburg will serve as the host of that tournament with the 36-hole event beginning on Saturday, October 5 and continuing through that Sunday.
