LANCASTER, Pa. – After leading the Franklin & Marshall women's soccer team to two shutout wins last week, Colleen Ferrarese has been named Centennial Conference (CC) Defensive Player of the Week, as announced by the conference office Wednesday morning. It is the second time in Ferrarese's career where she won the weekly honor, after being recognized in early-November of last season.

Ferrarese and the Diplomats' defense shutout Wilson and Haverford to wrap up F&M's home regular season slate last week. In F&M's 9-0 victory over Wilson, the Diplomats held the Phoenix without a shot in the contest. Ferrarese also tallied two assists in the game to bring her season-total to eight, which is tied for first in the Centennial Conference. The senior defender followed up that performance by limiting Haverford to just seven shot attempts with two shots on goal in F&M's 1-0 win on Saturday.

Ferrarese and the Diplomats now hit the road to take on Ursinus on Wednesday at 7:30 p.m.
