Allie Tarreto's hole-in-one on the par 3 sixth hole at the Carlisle Barracks Golf Course highlighted a strong performance from the Franklin & Marshall women's golf team, as Shuyi
Sarah Wang earned medalist honors and the team claimed second place in the one-day tournament.
Tarreto's ace on the 159-yard sixth hole was key to her fourth-place finish, as the first-year golfer carded a 77 (+5) with a three-over front nine and two-over back nine that included a birdie on the par-four 18th hole. It's her best round of the four she's played so far for F&M.
Wang tied with a competitor from Marymount with 73 strokes (+1), earning the event's medal on a match of cards. She scored even par (36) with two birdies on the front nine and eight pars on a one-over back nine.
Riya Sood posted a 90 (+18) to earn 12th place, while
Sarah DesChamps tied for 23rd with 102 strokes (+30).
The team claimed second place with a score of 342 (+54) from the six teams competing that included winners Marymount (+19), Dickinson's A Team (+91), McDaniel (+93), Stevenson (+113), and Dickinson's B Team (+119).
F&M concludes the fall schedule at the Gettysburg Fall Invitational from Hanover Country Club on Saturday, October 18.
