CARLISLE, Pa. – The Franklin & Marshall men's golf team started its Spring 2025 slate with both of its teams ending the opening round inside the top-three of the team leaderboard during the opening round of the Dickinson Spring Invitational on Saturday at the Carlisle Barracks. The F&M "B" team shot one-under par to end the round in second out of 16 teams competing. The Diplomats' "A" team followed by finishing even-par and sitting in third after 18 holes.
Roy Anderson led both F&M teams by carding two-under par to finish the day in second place. Meanwhile,
Max Silverman of F&M's "A" team and
Shane Lawler of F&M's "B" team both scored one-under par to land in a tie for third place in the field of 85 competitors.
The Diplomats' "B" team had
Chris Dorey,
Alex Gore and
Quishi He all shoot even-par to tie for sixth place in the field.
Winston Thai rounded out the group by scoring five-over par to land in a tie for 25th after day one.
The F&M "A" team saw
Oliver Clark score even-par to add to the tie for sixth place during the opening round.
Jack Cooley followed with a three-over par to end the round in 18th.
Pablo Rodriguez concluded the day by shooting five-over par to place 25th in the field.
Franklin & Marshall looks to finish the tournament strong as the Diplomats wrap up the Dickinson Spring Invitational on Sunday, starting at 8:00 a.m.
