Men's Golf Takes Second in the McDaniel Spring Invitational

ABBOTTSTOWN, Pa. – The Franklin & Marshall men's golf team earned a second-place finish at the McDaniel Spring Invitational, held at The Bridges Golf Club on Sunday. The Diplomats shot eight-over par as a team to end the tournament 34-over par, finishing behind Gettysburg's tournament-winning 25-over par score.

The McDaniel Spring Invitational is the third tournament in a row where F&M  finished as the runner-up after taking second in both the Dickinson Spring Invitational and Mason-Dixon Collegiate Classic.

Alex Gore was F&M's top finisher as he recorded three birdies and 11 pars to end the day one-over par, which placed him sixth in the field of 90 competitors. Oliver Clark also notched a top-10 finish as he carded two-over par on Sunday to end the tournament eight-over par and tie for 10th. Roy Anderson shot four-over par on day two to finish in a tie for 18th with a score of 11-over par. Quishi He closely followed with a one-over par score to bring his tournament score to 12-over, finishing the tournament in a tie for 20th. Max Silverman rounded out Franklin & Marshall with a nine-over par on Sunday to tie for 48th in the field.

Franklin & Marshall now gears up for a three-day tournament at the Camp Lejeune Invitational, starting on Friday at 8:00 a.m.
