FAYETTEVILLE, Pa. – The Franklin & Marshall men's golf team sits in first place of the Gettysburg Spring Shootout after one round at the Penn National Golf Club. The Diplomats shot a team-score of 295 (seven-over par) to lead the field of 10 teams. Host Gettysburg trails with a score of 297, followed by Dickinson registering a 299 after 18 holes.
Max Silverman led the Diplomats on Friday, carding a 70 to finish two-under par and hold second place in the field of 54 individuals. Silverman registered an eagle, three birdies and 11 pars to end the round four strokes off the lead.
Roy Anderson notched four birdies and 10 pars to end the day even-par, putting himself in fifth place.
Quishi He concluded Friday shooting a 75 (three-over par) to sit in 13th place after 18 holes.
Oliver Clark carded a 78 in the opening round to end the day six-over par and in 27th.
Shane Lawler rounded out the Diplomats with a 79, finishing seven-over par in 30th in the field.
Franklin & Marshall looks to finish strong and secure its first team win this spring when it begins the second round of the Gettysburg Spring Shootout on Saturday, starting at 10:35 a.m.
