FAYETTEVILLE, Pa. – The Franklin & Marshall men's golf team tallied a team score of 299 on Saturday to bring its tournament score to 594 (18-over par), giving the Diplomats a second-place finish at the Gettysburg Spring Shootout, held at Penn National Golf Club. F&M finished just two strokes behind host Gettysburg in the tournament as the Bullets led the field of 10 teams.
Max Silverman led the Diplomats with a 75 on Saturday to finish the tournament with a score of 145 (one-over par) to tie for fifth in the field of 54 golfers.
Roy Anderson also notched a 75 in the second round to tally a 147 (three-over par) and place ninth on the leaderboard.
Quishi He recorded a 76 in the closing round to place 13th in the field.
Oliver Clark closely followed as he carded a 73 to conclude the weekend in 14th.
Shane Lawler closed out the tournament for the Diplomats as he shot a 77 to bring his overall score to 156 (12-over par) and place in 26th.
Franklin & Marshall gears up to host the F&M Spring Invitational at Bent Creek Country Club on Monday, starting at noon.
