LANCASTER, Pa. – The Franklin & Marshall men's golf team displayed its depth as it concluded its regular season slate hosting the F&M Spring Invitational Monday afternoon at Bent Creek Country Club.
The F&M "A" team shot a 283 (one-under par) to place second out of 12 teams in the tournament. The Diplomats "C" team closely followed with a 287 (three-over par) to end the day in third. F&M's "B" team carded a 299 (15-over par) to end Monday's round tied for seventh.
Millersville won the team title, shooting a 281 (three-under par) to finish in first place.
Quishi He and
David McNamara highlighted the individual performances for F&M as both golfers shot a 68 to tie each other for third out of 65 competitors. The Diplomats also had
Oliver Clark,
Jack Cooley and
Pablo Rodriguez place in the top-10 as all three carded a 71 to tie for eighth.
Roy Anderson and
Shane Lawler notched a 72 to tie for 11th on the day.
Neal Lavelle and
Max Silverman both tallied a 73 to finish in a tie for 15th in the tournament.
Alex Gore shot a 74 to tie for 24th, while
Riley Norton carded a 75 to tie for 32nd on the leaderboard.
Chris Dorey,
Yuhao Liu and
Will Livingston all notched a 77 to tie each other for 39th.
Matt Tressler ended his day with an 80 to place himself in a tie for 53rd.
Franklin & Marshall now sets its sights on making a run at its fifth-consecutive Centennial Conference title when it begins the CC Tournament on Friday at Waynesboro Country Club.
