WAYNESBORO, Pa. – The four-time defending Centennial Conference (CC) Champion Franklin & Marshall men's golf team tallied a six-over par in the first round of the CC Championship to end the day in third out of eight teams competing. The Diplomats had two individuals finish in the top 10 after round one, completing the par-72, 6,596-yard course at Waynesboro Country Club.
Swarthmore leads the tournament with a team-score of two-under par, followed by Gettysburg at one-under par.
Quishi He highlighted F&M's day, earning three birdies and 14 pars to shoot two-under par and tie for the lead in the field of 40 golfers.
Max Silverman finished his day with four birdies and nine pars to shoot one-over par, placing himself in a tie for eighth.
Roy Anderson carded one eagle, four birdies and seven pars to register a three-over par and sit in a tie for 16th.
Oliver Clark finished his day one-stroke behind Anderson as the first-year shot four-over par to sit in 19th after 18 holes.
Shane Lawler concluded the opening round with a five-over par to end the day in a tie for 20th.
Franklin & Marshall begins round two of the Centennial Conference Championship on Saturday. Lawler will be the first Diplomat to tee-off at 11:51, followed by Clark (12:00 p.m.), Anderson (12:09 p.m.), Silverman (12:18 p.m.) and He (12:27 p.m.).
