Women's Golf Ends Centennial Conference Championship in Third

WAYNESBORO, Pa.- The Franklin & Marshall women's golf team maintained third place in the second and final round of the Centennial Conference Women's Golf Championship on Sunday from the Waynesboro Country Club. It marks the third-consecutive season where the Diplomats claimed third in the tournament. Shuyi Sarah Wang was the best individual for F&M, as she ended the tournament in a tie for ninth place.

The Diplomats earned third place for the weekend with a total score of 752 (+176) from the two rounds. The Diplomats posted a score of 381 (+93) on Sunday. 

Wang posted a 92 (+20) on Sunday after recording an 85 in Saturday's first round. Her score for the weekend was 177 (+33). Janire Egana Vela also had a 92 (+20) in the second round to finish the tournament in 12th in the individual standings with a score of 194 (+50).  

Claire Hill improved eight strokes from Saturday, recording a 93 (+21) on Sunday including a +6 front nine, finishing 15th with a weekend score of 194 (+50). Riya Sood ended the tournament in 16th following a 104 (+34) in Sunday's round. She posted a 199 (+55) across the two rounds. Emily Pollard also had a 104 (+34) in the final round, as she claimed 23rd with a score of 212 (+68). 

Gettysburg claimed the Centennial Conference Championship, while Marymount was second.
