FLEETWOOD, Pa. – The Franklin & Marshall men's golf team finished up the first round of the Moselem Cup at Moselem Springs Golf Club in second place with a team score of 305 (25-over par) on Monday. The Diplomats also have two members holding a spot in the top-10 entering Tuesday's final round.
Winston Thai led F&M with four birdies and eight pars to shoot a 74 and hold a tie for fifth in the field of 66 golfers.
David McNamara tallied one birdie and 13 pars for a 75 to tie for 10th in round one.
Jack Cooley and
Riley Norton both carded a 78 to conclude the round eight-over par and place in a tie for 19th.
Shane Lawler ended the day 12-over par with an 82 to sit in a tie for 38th.
Franklin & Marshall looks to make a late push on Tuesday's round as it trails Allegheny by five strokes.
