LANCASTER, Pa. – The Franklin & Marshall track & field team is set to host the 2026 Centennial Conference Indoor Championships this weekend inside the Alumni Sports & Fitness Center. Action gets underway on Saturday, February 28 and continues through Sunday, March 1.
Multiple Diplomats are looking to perform well and are highly seeded entering the weekend. Highlighting the team's top seeds are the throwers who have six projected scorers between the shot put and weight throw. Austin Hadley is ranked third in the shot put entering the weekend. Hadley was an honorable mention performer during the outdoor season in the discus and will look to get back on the podium this weekend.
Benjamin Ford is expected to score in a couple of events as he is seeded fifth in the shot put and seventh in the weight throw. Ben Ostroski is the top predicted finisher in the weight throw at No. 5 in the rankings, while James Martin (shot put) and Dustin Stoetzel (weight throw) both have top 10 seeds from the regular season.
Other field event highlights include Kenny Uchida entering the weekend ranked fifth in the long jump where he is also third in school history. Greg Bruno holds a top 10 mark in school history for the pole vault and enters the conference championship as the No. 12 seed for that event.
Zach Houff headlines the track performers as he posted the second-fastest time in school history for the 800 meters during the regular season and is seeded fifth in that event this weekend. The Diplomats are also predicted to fare well in the relays as the team has entered a 4x200 and 4x400 relay.
This weekend's conference championship will be the team's final meet before the All-Atlantic Regional Championships that are slated for Friday, March 6 and Saturday, March 7 in New York.
