LANCASTER, Pa. – Zach Houff has qualified for the 2026 NCAA Division III Indoor Track & Field National Championships. Houff earned the No. 16 seed in the 800 meter field with his converted time. The NCAA Championship meet is being held at the Birmingham Crossplex in Alabama from Friday, March 13 through Saturday, March 14.

Houff earned his spot in the national meet by posting a school record time of 1:53.37 during a run to the silver medal at the Centennial Conference Championships which was converted to a national mark of 1:51.78.

The preliminaries of the 800 meter race are set for 5 p.m. eastern (4 p.m. local) on March 13. Split into three heats, the top two individuals from each heat – plus the next two fastest times – advanced to Saturday's national championship race. The finals of that race are set for 5:50 p.m. eastern (4:50 p.m. local).

Houff is one just five sophomores who qualified for the national championship in the 800 meters. Live stats and live video of the race will be available later in the week on NCAA.com.
