LANCASTER, Pa. – The Franklin & Marshall men's tennis team (12-6, 5-2 CC) prepares for another appearance in the Centennial Conference (CC) Tournament, earning a spot in the semifinal. The Diplomats travel to play Haverford (9-12, 6-1 CC) on Friday, starting at 3:00 p.m. The winner advances to the CC Championship on Sunday, hosted by the highest remaining seed in the tournament.

CC Tournament History
Franklin & Marshall will make an appearance in the semifinal round of the conference playoffs for the third-consecutive season, matching up with Haverford in back-to-back years. F&M will look to have a different result after falling to the Fords, 4-0, in last season's tournament. The Diplomats' last win in the semifinals came against Swarthmore, 5-2, during the 2010-11 season.

A Look at the FieldÂ
No. 2 seed Haverford comes into Friday's match ranked No. 42 in the national rankings. No. 3 seed F&M is two spots ahead of the Fords in the rankings at No. 40 nationally, while also coming in at No. 10 in the regional rankings. Franklin & Marshall looks to even its season-series with Haverford after the Fords defeated the Diplomats, 4-3, last week.
No. 1 seed Swarthmore will try to repeat as CC Champions after winning its third-consecutive conference title last season. The Garnet enter the tournament 18-6 overall and 7-0 against CC opponents, while ranking seventh in the nation and first in the Atlantic South region. No. 4 seed Washington College is 10-9 overall this year with a 4-3 CC record. The Shoremen rank No. 56 in the latest ITA National Poll, ending its regular-season slate by winning one of its last three CC matches.
The Projected LineupÂ
No. 1 Singles – Zac Ashtiani
Primarily playing in No. 2 singles, Ashtiani has 10 singles' wins this season. Ashtiani is 3-1 this season when playing in the No. 1 match this season. The senior highlighted his season with a nationally-ranked win in No. 2 singles against Johns Hopkins, defeating then-ranked No. 48 Dylan Blenkiron in three sets. For that win, Ashtiani was named CC Athlete of the Week for the first time in his career.
No. 2 Singles – Luke Brodsky
Brodsky sports eight singles' victories, while primarily playing in the No. 1 match this year. Brodsky is 1-0 this season when playing in No. 2 singles, winning in three sets against Dickinson last week. Brodsky was recognized as the Centennial Conference Athlete of the Week for the second time in his career after leading the Diplomats past Stevens in early-March.
No. 3 Singles – Samuel Donnelly
Donnelly holds a team-high 16 singles' wins, while earning a 6-1 record against CC opponents in the No. 3 match this year. Donnelly is currently on a six-match winning streak and is 8-2 in his last 10 matches. The junior helped guide the Diplomats to a 4-1 record on their spring break trip to Florida, earning CC Athlete of the Week for the first time in his career.
No. 4 Singles – Soren Rudin-Aulenbach
Rudin-Aulenbach has eight singles' victories, competing primarily in the No. 4 match this spring. Rudin-Aulenbach has two wins against Centennial opponents this season, defeating Gettysburg and Ursinus. The junior led F&M past TCNJ for its first win of the season, earning himself CC Athlete of the Week recognition for the second time in his career.
No. 5 Singles – Gonzalo Gentou
Gentou is an impressive 8-2 this season with a perfect 3-0 record in Centennial Conference matches. The senior is 1-1 when competing in the No. 5 match this year with a win in straight-sets against Muhlenberg. Gentou also brings a four-match winning streak into Friday's contest against Haverford.
No. 6 Singles – Nate Arnold
Arnold has tallied seven wins this season with a perfect 3-0 record against Centennial opponents. Arnold is 1-1 when competing in No. 6 singles with a victory in straight-sets over the Fords last week. The first-year looks to continue rolling on Friday, entering with a three-match winning streak.
A Look at DoublesÂ
The No. 1 doubles' pairing of
Zac Ashtiani and
Luke Brodsky enters the Centennial Conference Tournament with a 13-5 overall record and a perfect 7-0 conference record, so far this season. The duo is currently ranked No. 8 in the Atlantic South region with its biggest win coming in a 7-6 victory over Swarthmore in late-March. Ashtiani and Brodsky are 9-1 in their last 10 matches, currently holding a six-match winning streak.
