LANCASTER, Pa. – The Franklin & Marshall won two
doubles matches and four of six singles matches to defeat Haverford
6-3 Saturday afternoon. The Diplomats improved to 5-4, 1-0 CC and
the Fords fell to 3-2, 0-1.
Cameron Relic easily defeated Natty Sergay 6-1, 6-3. Eric Rouff
bounced back to beat Ankur Arya 4-6, 6-1, 6-1. James Tunner won
6-3, 6-2 over Michael Gelberg and Ross Silverberg beat Hailiu Yang
by scores of 6-0, 7-6. Armen Vartan edged by Kevin Caulfield 7-5,
6-4.
The doubles pairs went 2-3 on the day. Vartan and Relic won 8-3
over Caulfield and Sergay. The pair of Silverberg and Peter Bookman
took Will Garrett and Yang by an 8-4 margin. Doug Silverstein and
Tunner were slighted 9-8 by Matthew Cebul and Danny Himelstein.
The Diplomats travel to Ursinus on March 31. The first match is
set for 3:30 p.m.
