COLLEGEVILLE, Pa. – Franklin & Marshall downed Ursinus 9-0 in Centennial Conference (CC) men's tennis action Tuesday afternoon. The Diplomats did not drop a set and held the Bears to a point or less in seven games. F&M improved to 5-3 (1-0 CC) while Ursinus fell to 8-4 (0-3 CC).
Silverberg posted a 6-4, 6-4 victory in first singles competition of the day.
William MacArthur (6-1, 6-1) and
Tommy Weibye (6-1, 7-5) took the next spots with ease for F&M.
Doug Silverstein had no problem getting by Dylan Marsh with a 6-0, 6-0 victory at the fourth spot.
James Tunner wrapped up the day with a 6-1, 6-2 defeat for F&M.
The Diplomats return to action Saturday at McDaniel for an 11:30 a.m. match.
