BALTIMORE – No. 13 Johns Hopkins handed Franklin & Marshall a 5-0 defeat in the Centennial Conference (CC) Men's Tennis Championship Sunday in Baltimore. The Blue Jays did not concede a set as they won their fifth straight CC crown. F&M, playing in its first ever CC title match, finished the season with a 12-6 record and a No. 12 regional ranking.
Jacob Barnaby and Casey Blythe defeated William MacArthur and Ross Silverberg 8-4 at No. 1 doubles. Warren Elgort teamed up with Andrew Wang for an 8-3 win over Doug Silverstein and Tommy Weibye at the No. 2 spot while Jeff Kamei and Ryan Racuk won 8-0 over Peter Bookman and James Tunner in the No. 3 doubles position.
Barnaby picked up a 6-0, 6-2 victory over Tunner at No. 6 and Andy Hersh defeated Weibye, 6-0, 6-1, at No. 3 singles to secure the win for Johns Hopkins.
