LANCASTER, Pa. - After being idle for over a month due to winter
break, the Franklin & Marshall men's and women's squash teams
are set to return to action with a busy few days of competition
this weekend. The Diplomats will open the 2012 portion of their
schedule at the Yale Round Robin on Friday and Saturday, before
traveling to Trinity (Conn.) on Sunday.
The F&M men, ranked eighth in the latest College Squash Association (CSA) rankings,
enter the weekend with a 1-3 mark, including an 8-1 triumph over
No. 16 Bates its last time out. The Diplomats will open the Yale
Round Robin against No. 10 Williams at 8:00 pm tonight, before
meeting No. 23 Colby on Saturday at 10:00 am. F&M will then
wrap up the weekend with a showdown against the top-ranked team in
the country, Trinity (Conn.), on Sunday at noon.
The Diplomat women (0-4), who remained at No. 17 in the CSA rankings, square off against No. 10
Williams tonight at 6:00 pm to begin the Yale Round Robin. On
Saturday, F&M will meet No. 22 Colby at 10:00 am and No. 19
Bowdoin at 5:30 pm. The Diplomats conclude the hectic three days of
action with a matchup at No. 5 Trinity (Conn.) on Sunday at 1:00
pm.
