Diplomats Win Third Straight

LANCASTER, Pa. – Franklin & Marshall's men's tennis team concluded its regular season on Friday afternoon with a 7-2 victory over Dickinson in Centennial Conference (CC) action. The Diplomats (8-7, 7-2 CC) locked up a top-three seed in the CC Tournament with the win, while the Red Devils drop to 8-8, 4-5 CC with the loss.

F&M notched straight set wins in the first five singles positions. No. 2 Tommy Weibye and No. 4 Nolan Bacchieri each recorded their fifth straight wins, while No. 3 William MacArthur picked up his fourth straight victory. Weibye defeated Dixon Blue 6-2, 6-2, Bacchieri topped Ari Black 6-4, 6-3, and MacArthur cruised to a 6-2, 6-0 triumph over Franco Mena. No. 1 Ross Silverberg and No. 5 Eric Rouff both notched their third wins in a row, with Silverberg taking down Will Golinkin 6-4, 6-2, and Rouff rolling to a 6-0, 6-3 win against Jon Brittin.

In doubles action, F&M earned wins at the first two spots. Weibye and Bacchieri notched their fifth straight victory at the No. 2 position with an 8-2 final against Hunter Dewing Hommes and Blue, while Silverberg and MacArthur teamed up at No. 1 to defeat Golinkin and Mena 8-3.

F&M returns to action next Saturday at the CC Tournament, with match time and opponent yet to be determined. Check back to GoDiplomats.com for updates.
