ORLANDO, Fla. - The Franklin & Marshall men's tennis team concluded its Florida spring break trip by dropping an 8-1 match to Wesleyan (Conn.) yesterday in non-conference action. The Diplomats fell to 2-2, while the Cardinals improved to 4-2.
In No. 1 singles, William MacArthur played a very competitive match against Wesleyan's Jake Roberts, but eventually fell 4-6, 7-6 (7-2), 10-8. In the No. 4 position, F&M's Joshua Kane battled Stephen Monk, but fell 6-3, 6-4.
In doubles action, MacArthur and Nolan Bacchieri defeated Zachary Brint and Charlie Seifer by a score of 8-1 to give the Diplomats a victory in the No. 1 spot.
The Diplomats return to action March 22nd when F&M opens Centennial Conference (CC) play with a home match against Muhlenberg at 12:00 p.m.
