CAMBRIDGE, Mass. – The No. 14 Franklin & Marshall women's squash team is ready to compete in the 2015 College Squash Association (CSA) Team Championships, hosted by Harvard, with an opening round matchup against No. 11 Brown set for Friday at 12:00 p.m.
The Diplomats make a return to the Kurtz Cup (B Division) for the first time since 2013, where the No. 9 through 16 teams in the nation will compete. F&M is seeking its first-ever Kurtz Cup Championship in the three-day tournament.
With a 9-7 record entering competition, the Diplomats will also look to secure their first winning season since 2011-12 and enter the tournament as winners of five out of their last seven regular-season contests. Brown enters action at 5-8 and has lost six consecutive matches. These teams last squared off in 2002, with F&M holding the all-time series lead at 8-5.
At last season's CSA Team Championships, the Diplomats advanced to the finals of the Walker Cup (C Division), but came up short to No. 17 Amherst by a 6-3 margin.
The semifinals will take place Saturday at 11:15 a.m. with the winner squaring off against either No. 15 Drexel or No. 10 Stanford. The championship match of the eight-team bracket is slated for a 10:30 a.m. start on Sunday. Live results of the entire tournament will be updated throughout the weekend and can be viewed here.
