SWARTHMORE, Pa. – Franklin & Marshall suffered a 6-3 setback at the hands of Swarthmore on Saturday afternoon in Centennial Conference (CC) men's tennis action. The Diplomats fell to 6-6, 4-2 CC, while the Garnet improved to 8-4, 4-0 CC.

In singles action, No. 2 Nolan Bacchieri edged out Mark Fallati 6-1, 6-7 (7-3), 10-7, while Will Samuels downed Yosuke Higashi 6-4, 6-2 at the No. 4 spot. Vasant Rajamanickam battled from the No. 5 position, but eventually fell 2-6, 6-2, 6-3.

Bacchieri and Rajamanickam teamed up at the No. 2 doubles spot and dominated Harrison Lands and Thomas Vernier by a score of 8-1.

F&M is back in action next Saturday for a home match against Haverford beginning at 12:00 p.m.
