LANCASTER, Pa. – Franklin & Marshall suffered a 6-3 loss at the hands of Haverford on Saturday afternoon in men's tennis Centennial Conference (CC) action. The Diplomats slipped to 6-7, 4-3 CC, while the Fords improved to 8-4, 5-2 CC.
Before the match, F&M's lone senior Nolan Bacchieri was honored on senior day.
Bacchieri and Vasant Rajamanickam were successful at the No. 2 doubles position, downing Dais Nakayama and Ishaan Prinz 8-4.
In singles action, Jack Rothman won at the No. 3 position at 6-4, 5-7, 1-0 (10-8), while Will Samuels cruised past Harrison Elbert 6-2, 6-2 at No. 4. Bacchieri battled but eventually fell 7-6 (9-7), 6-3 from the No. 2 spot.
The Diplomats return to action tomorrow when F&M travels to The College of New Jersey (TCNJ) for a 12:00 p.m. match.
