LANCASTER, Pa. – The No. 26 Franklin & Marshall men's tennis team continued its hot start to the 2016 season, tallying an 8-1 victory over Ursinus on Wednesday afternoon in Centennial Conference (CC) men's tennis competition. The win, F&M's 10th in a row, improved the Diplomats' record to 10-1, 3-0 CC while the Bears fell to 8-3, 0-3 CC.
By the Numbers
F&M jumped out to a 3-0 lead by claiming all three doubles matches. Zack Levin and Isaac Salas posted a dominant 8-0 win at No. 3 to lead the charge.
The Diplomats retained control throughout, taking five of six singles matches. Salas turned in another strong performance, winning 6-0, 6-0 at No. 4, while Jack Rothman recorded a 6-1, 6-1 decision at No. 3. Doug Kaplan emerged victorious from the match competitive match of the day, notching a 7-5, 6-4 result at No. 1.
