LANCASTER, Pa. – Franklin & Marshall welcomed Dickinson to Lancaster on Saturday afternoon for a Centennial Conference (CC) showdown to determine the No. 4 seed in this week's CC Tournament, with the Diplomats claiming a 6-3 decision over the Red Devils.
F&M improved to 14-4, 6-3 CC with the win, setting a new school record for wins in a season. Dickinson fell to 6-8, 5-4 CC with the loss.
By the Numbers
The Diplomats opened a slim 2-1 lead after taking two of three doubles matches. No. 1 doubles featured a family affair as Jack Rothman and Doug Kaplan took on Dickinson's Steven Kaplan, brother of Doug, and Clark Chapman in an 8-5 victory for F&M.
Rothman led the Diplomats to four more wins in singles play, tallying a 6-0, 6-2 win at No. 3. Kaplan (No. 1) and Zack Levin (No. 2) also reached two wins on the day as F&M cruised to a 6-3 victory.
