SWARTHMORE, Pa. – Franklin & Marshall visited top seed Swarthmore on Saturday afternoon for the semifinals of the Centennial Conference men's tennis tournament, falling to the Garnet 5-0. The loss ends the Diplomats' season, which saw them break the school record for wins in a season, with a record of 15-5.
By the Numbers
Swarthmore set the tone early, winning all three doubles matches. Inigo Flores and Vasant Rajamanickam put up a fight at No. 2, but ultimately fell 8-4.
Singles play saw the Diplomats hold their own early as Doug Kaplan (No. 1) and Isaac Salas (No. 4) took the first set of their respective matches. However, a pair of quick victories at No. 2 and No. 3 closed out the match early as it was played to decision.
