LANCASTER, Pa. – Franklin & Marshall improved its Centennial Conference (CC) record to 5-1 on Wednesday afternoon, dealing Gettysburg a 9-0 defeat in men's tennis action.
The Diplomats improved their overall record to 6-6 on the year along with the 5-1 mark in CC play, while the Bullets fell to 3-7, 0-4 CC.
By the Numbers
Jack Rothman and Inigo Flores set the tone early at the top of the doubles lineup, taking an 8-4 decision. Wins from Zack Levin and Will Samuels (8-4) as well as Isaac Salas and Andrew Pace (8-3) carried the Diplomats into singles action with a 3-0 lead.
F&M continued to dominate in singles play, completing the 9-0 sweep without conceding a set. Flores (6-1, 6-0) and Pace (6-0, 6-1) lost just one game on the way to their singles wins, while Rothman again led the way with a 7-6 (7-4), 6-2 win at No. 1.
