LANDISVILLE, Pa. -- Franklin & Marshall grabbed an early point by winning two of the three doubles matches, but dropped five singles matches in a 5-2 loss to Division II Millersville on Saturday evening at the Hempfield Rec Center in non-conference men's tennis action.
The pairing of Justin Pace and Tristan Steffe was able to snag a 6-4 victory at #2 doubles, while Anthony Casale and Pedro Norte pulled out a 7-6 (7-4) win at the #3 slot.
Singles were not as kind to the Diplomats (1-1), with the lone victory coming in a three-set triump by Isaac Rockower. Rockower overcame a set deficit to hold serve in a 6-4, 6-3 finish for the only other F&M point.
F&M hits the courts again next Saturday afternoon, travelling to face TCNJ beginning at 4:00 p.m.
