HOPEWELL, N.J. -- Franklin & Marshall men's tennis picked up a pair of victories at #1 singles and #3 doubles, but came up short against TCNJ by a 7-2 final margin at Hopewell Swim and Tennis Center.
F&M nearly picked up a pair of points in doubles, but needed to settle for one from the #3 pairing of Anthony Casale and Pedro Norte, who eeked out an 8-7 (7-4) tiebreaker win. Justin Pace and Tristan Steffe ultimately fell by the exact same scoreline as the #2 pairing.
Adrian Charchalis earned the second point for the Diplomats, gutting out a three set victory at #1. After taking the first set 6-2, the senior dropped a narrow second set tiebreak 6-7 (8-10). Charchalis rebounded with a 10-6 super tiebreaker victory in the deciding set.
Tristan Steffe came close at #3, snagging a 6-2 second set to force a third, but fell 10-8 in the super tiebreaker.
The Diplomats get back in action down in Florida for spring break, facing Rhodes, St. Lawrence, and Coe beginning on Mar. 14.
