LEXINGTON, Va. -- Franklin & Marshall men's tennis dropped a non-conference road match on Saturday to Washington & Lee, falling 7-2. The Diplomats (6-6) were able to grab two points from their bottom pair of singles, but fell in straight sets across the remainder of the matches.
Isaac Rockower and Adrian Charchalis put together a solid effort at #1 doubles, undone by the narrowest of margins in an 8-7 (9-7) loss.
Pedro Norte and Anthony Casale earned the lone two points for the Diplomats at #5 and #6 singles. Norte gutted out a three set win at #5, dropping the first set before picking up the next two in a 1-6, 6-3, 10-7 win. Casale had an easier time at #6, finishing with a 6-2, 6-4 win.
F&M finishes off its Centennial Conference schedule with a road match at Ursinus on Tuesday, followed by a trip to Baltimore to face Johns Hopkins on Friday.
