LANCASTER, Pa. – The Franklin & Marshall men's tennis team earned its fourth win of the season and second victory in a row as it cruised past Hampden-Sydney, 7-2, Saturday afternoon.
The Diplomats claimed two of the three doubles matches – winning 8-3 in both the second and third matches. The pairing of Gonzalo Gentou and Pedro Norte picked up their fourth win this season as a duo, while Anthony Casale and Isaac Rockower earned their third victory as a pairing this spring.
After dropping the first set, Rockower bounced back in the No. 2 singles position by claiming the next two sets 6-2 and 7-5 to earn his fifth win of the season. Gentou (No. 3), Norte (No. 5), and Casale (No. 6) all defeated their opponents in straight sets to each earn their fifth win of the spring. Luke Brodsky picked up his fourth win of the season in the No. 4 position, downing his opponent in straight sets.
Franklin & Marshall looks to build upon the winning streak as it takes on Centennial Conference foe Ursinus Tuesday at 4:00 p.m. at the Brooks Tennis Center.
