LANCASTER, Pa. – For the second-consecutive week, a member of the Franklin & Marshall men's tennis team has been named the Centennial Conference (CC) Men's Tennis Athlete of the Week, as announced by the conference office Tuesday morning.
Luke Brodsky earned CC Athlete of the Week recognition for the second time in his career after leading the No. 37 Diplomats past No. 39 Stevens, 6-1, on Sunday.
Brodsky wins the weekly award a week after teammate
Soren Rudin-Aulenbach was recognized for his contributions in the 4-3 victory over TCNJ on February 28.
The pairing of Brodsky and
Zac Ashtiani overpowered Stevens' Max-William Kanz and Renat Kramin in the No. 1 doubles match, 6-4, to earn their first win together this season. Brodsky continued into singles, taking down Kanz in three sets, 6-7, 6-4, 7-5, in the No. 1 match.
The senior currently has three wins in both doubles and singles this year. Brodsky also ranks No. 20 for singles in the Atlantic South Region.
No. 37 Franklin & Marshall looks to extend its winning streak when it heads to Orlando, Florida for six matches during spring break. In its first match of the trip, F&M squares off with Connecticut College on Sunday at 4:30 p.m.
