LANCASTER, Pa. – The Franklin & Marshall men's tennis team claimed its third Centennial Conference (CC) win of the season as the Diplomats rolled past Gettysburg, 7-2, Wednesday afternoon at the Brooks Tennis Center.
F&M swept through all three doubles matches on the day. The pairing of Zac Ashtiani and Luke Brodsky won their match, 8-4, to earn their fourth win as a duo this season. Gonzalo Gentou and Pedro Norte claimed their fifth win in a row as they downed their opponent, 8-3. Anthony Casale and Isaac Rockower also earned their fifth-consecutive win as a pairing – winning the third doubles match, 8-4.
After dropping the No. 1 and No. 2 singles matches, F&M rolled through the final four positions to win the match. Norte picked up his eighth win of the season by winning the No. 5 singles match, 6-0, 6-1. Gentou overpowered his opponent in the No. 3 position to claim his seventh win of the spring. Brodsky (No. 4) beat his opponent, 6-2 and 7-6, to pick up his sixth win of the year. Kyle Broadhurst (No. 6) downed his opponent in straight sets to win his first singles match this spring.
Franklin & Marshall looks to extend its home court winning streak when it hosts Haverford Saturday at noon on Senior Day.
