HAVERFORD, Pa. – The No. 5 seed Franklin & Marshall men's tennis team was defeated by No. 4 seed Haverford, 5-2, in the first round of the Centennial Conference Tournament Tuesday afternoon.

The Diplomats picked up two doubles wins with the pairing of Pedro Norte and Gonzalo Gentou earning an 8-7 (7-5) victory before the duo of Anthony Casale and Isaac Rockower took down their opponents, 8-4. Norte and Gonzalo won the middle doubles match to claim their ninth win as a pairing this spring. Casale and Rockower earned a win in the No. 3 doubles match for their seventh win as pairing this season.

Norte (No. 5) battled his opponent in their singles match, but was outlasted 6-4, 6-3. Zac Ashtiani (No. 1) and Casale (No. 6) played tough matches, but both Diplomats lost 6-2, 6-1.

Franklin & Marshall concludes the 2023 season with an overall record of 7-11 and a conference record of 4-4.
