Box Score EASTON, Pa. – The Franklin & Marshall men's tennis team was edged in its road match at Division I Lafayette, 4-3, in the Diplomats final match of their 2024 fall slate Saturday morning at Leopard Courts.
The Diplomats earned a victory in the middle doubles match with the pairing of
Luke Brodsky and
Soren Rudin-Aulenbach downing their opponents, 6-0. Despite the victory, Lafayette claimed wins in the first and third doubles matches to slip past Franklin & Marshall in the dual match.
F&M matched Lafayette in the singles matches, taking three from the Leopards to force a dramatic series of doubles bouts. After dropping the top three singles matches, the Diplomats went on a run in the bottom three matches.
Carl Kamdin outlasted his opponent in three sets in the No. 4 position to claim his first-career singles win.
Soren Rudin-Aulenbach followed with a 6-4, 6-2 victory in the No. 5 slot for his first win of the year.
Jack Gelman earned his first-career singles win in the No. 6 position as he defeated his opponent, 6-2, 6-4.
Franklin & Marshall concludes its fall season and gets set for an exciting upcoming spring slate. The Diplomats return to action on the road at TCNJ on Saturday, March 1 at noon.
