Women's Tennis Set for Centennial Conference Tournament

LANCASTER, Pa. – The Franklin & Marshall women's tennis team prepares for another appearance in the Centennial Conference (CC) Tournament, taking on Haverford in the semifinals on Friday at 4:00 p.m.

Friday, May 2 - Haverford, Pa.
Semifinal - No. 3 Franklin & Marshall vs. No. 2 Haverford - 4:00 p.m.
Friday, May 2 - Swarthmore, Pa.
Semifinal - No. 5 Dickinson vs. No. 1 Swarthmore - 4:00 p.m.
Sunday, May 4 – at Highest Remaining Seed
Championship - Semifinal Winners - 1:00 p.m.

CC Tournament History
Franklin & Marshall gets set for another postseason appearance as they travel to Haverford to play in the semifinals for the third consecutive year. F&M also looks to make it three seasons in a row with a postseason victory. The Diplomats have high hopes entering the conference tournament as it reached 10 wins for the first time since 2016-17, while also reaching as high as No. 8 in the regional rankings.

A Look at the Field 
With Johns Hopkins leaving the conference before the start of the season, a new champion will be crowned at the end of this year's tournament. No. 1 seed Swarthmore looks to earn its first tournament title since 2006 after going 14-4 in the regular season with a perfect 8-0 record against CC teams. No. 2 seed Haverford went 10-5 with a 7-1 CC record this season. No. 5 Dickinson knocked off No. 4 Washington College, 4-2, to advance into the semifinals. The Red Devils are 12-6 overall with a 4-4 record in conference play.

In the Rankings
Swarthmore is ranked No. 23 in the nation. Regionally, Swarthmore is No. 4, followed by F&M at No. 8 and Haverford at No. 9.

The Projected Lineup 
No. 1 Singles – Jenna Harrison
Harrison has all three of her wins this season against conference opponents, competing primarily out of the No. 1 match.
No. 2 Singles – Sahara Ahmad
Ahmad holds a 9-10 record in singles and is 4-3 against Centennial opponents while competing in the No. 2 match.
No. 3 Singles – Natalie Untermeyer
Untermeyer is tied for the team-high in singles' wins with 12 so far this season. Untermeyer is 7-1 in conference play and brings an eight-match winning streak into Friday's contest.
No. 4 Singles – Mackenzie Sherman
Sherman sports nine wins with six coming in CC matches. Sherman is currently on a five-match winning streak as she competes primarily in the No. 3 and 4 matches.
No. 5 Singles – Sophia Rhazali
Rhazali is tied with Untermeyer with a team-high 12 singles' wins this year. Rhazali is 12-4 overall and 7-1 in CC matches. The sophomore is currently on an eight-match winning streak entering the semifinals.
No. 6 Singles – Rebecca Bellick
Bellick is 11-2 with a perfect 7-0 record against Centennial opponents, competing in primarily the No. 6 match this year.

A Look at Doubles 
The No. 1 pairing of Jenna Harrison and Mackenzie Sherman enters the Centennial Conference Tournament with a 6-7 overall record and 3-4 conference record, so far this season.

The duo of Sahara Ahmad and Natalie Untermeyer lead the team in wins with a 11-3 overall and 6-1 against conference opponents when competing at the No. 2 spot. The duo has also recorded an 8-2 record in their last 10 matches.

Kakie Colclough and Presley Daggett currently hold a 7-1 overall record and 4-0 CC record, so far this season. The tandem also carries a seven-match winning streak into Friday's semifinal match.
