FREDERICKSBURG, Va. – The Franklin & Marshall women's tennis team concluded the second day of the ITA Regional Championships, hosted by Mary Washington, on Sunday with matches in both the doubles and singles championship consolation brackets.

Rebecca Bellick highlighted the day for the Diplomats winning two matches to advance the quarterfinals of the Championship Singles Consolation bracket. Bellick defeated Stevens' Alix Dry by walkover in the Round of 32, before downing Christopher Newport's Emma Carver, 8-6. Sahara Ahmad also earned a victory in the Round of 32 to start the day as she rolled past Swarthmore's Kathleen Shiffer, 8(7)-7(2). However, Ahmad was defeated by Washington & Lee's Sarah Ladd, 8-5, in the Round of 16.

In doubles, the pairing of Kakie Colclough and Sophia Rhazali fought hard, but fell just short in a 6-3 loss to Christopher Newport. The tandem of Bellick and Amelia Squires wrapped up the Diplomats' weekend in doubles with a loss via withdrawal in the Round of 32.
