2026 Men's Golf Season Preview

LANCASTER, Pa. – The Franklin & Marshall men's golf team readies for its upcoming 2026 spring slate, starting the year competing in the Dickinson Spring Invitational beginning on Sunday. First-year head coach Deryl Denlinger looks to lead the Diplomats to the top of the Centennial Conference (CC) and return the NCAA Tournament after serving as an assistant coach for the F&M men's golf program for the past decade.

The Diplomats
Franklin & Marshall returns three of its five golfers that competed in the CC Championship Tournament last year with Roy Anderson '25 and Shane Lawler '25 graduating last spring. The current 2026 roster consists of three juniors, six sophomores, and five first-year athletes.

Key Contributors
Wayne He was named a GCAA PING All-Region III selection last season, averaging a 74.3 round score with two top-five finishes. In the fall, He averaged a 75.1 round score with 10 rounds-played. The sophomore notched a round score of 73 four times in the fall with his highest tournament placement coming in The Gauntlet as he tied for 11th out of 75 golfers in the field.

Oliver Clark looks to carry over his impressive fall season, averaging a round score of 71.8 with 10 rounds played. Clark notched two top-five finishes last fall with a second-place finish in the Sinking Valley Collegiate Classic in October.

A PING All-Region performer in 2024, Max Silverman looks to be a key piece in the Diplomats' success this spring. In the fall, Silverman registered a 73.0 round-score average in 10 rounds-played. The junior highlighted his fall slate by team-low round score of 67 at the Dickinson Fall Invitational, finishing in a tie for first in the tournament.

Jake Kurtzman had a solid start to his rookie season, averaging a 76.0 round score during the 2025 fall slate. Kurtzman tallied a 69 score in his first-collegiate round at the Dickinson Fall Invitational, finishing in 10th out of 109 golfers competing in the tournament.

Spring Schedule
After the Diplomats compete in the Dickinson Spring Invitational, F&M plays in the Swarthmore Invitational, starting on March 29. The Diplomats then travel to Williamsburg, Virginia to compete in the Sam Snead Collegiate Tournament, beginning on April. F&M finishes the regular season by returning to Bent Creek Country Club to host the F&M Spring Invitational, starting on April 19.

The Centennial Conference Tournament, hosted at Waynesboro Country Club, will run from April 24 to 26. The NCAA Tournament, held at Mission Resort and Club in Howey-In-The-Hills, Florida, will take place May 12 to 14.

CC Preseason Poll
Franklin & Marshall was picked to finish second in the 2026 Centennial Conference Coaches Preseason Poll. The Diplomats received 40 points and two first-place votes. Gettysburg was selected first in the conference with 46 points and six first-place votes. To view the complete poll, click here.
