Box Score 2 ORLANDO, Fla. – The No. 37 Franklin & Marshall men's tennis team (5-2) dominated its two matches on Wednesday, defeating Colby Sawyer (5-5) and George Fox (5-6), 7-0, in both contests.
In the win over Colby-Sawyer, the duo of
Tucker Chesman and
Hugh Outwater came away with a 6-2 victory in the No. 1 match for their first win together this season. The Tandem of
Campbell Gervais and
Aaron Kwock held off their opponents in the No. 2 match, 7(7)-6(3), for their first victory this year. The pairing of
Ian Alonso and
Tommy Hicks claimed a 6-1 win in the No. 3 match for their second victory together this spring.
Carl Kamdin got F&M started in singles with a 6-4, 6-4 win in the No. 1 match for his first victory of the season. Alonso followed with a 6-3, 6-2, victory in the No. 2 match for his third win of the spring. Chesman put away the No. 3 match, 6-0, 6-1, to tally his second win of the year, while Kwock came away victorious in the No. 4 match, 6-1, 6-0, for his first win this season. Gervais finished his day with a 7-5, 6-3 win in the No. 5 match for his first victory in 2026. Hicks wrapped up the match in the No. 6 slot, overpowering his opponent, 6-1, 7(7)-6(5), for his second win this season.
The Diplomats continued its strong day as it blanked George Fox throughout the evening. The pairing of
Zac Ashtiani and
Luke Brodsky won the No. 1 doubles match, 6-3, for their third victory together this spring.
Nate Arnold and
Samuel Donnelly also defeated their opponents, 6-3, in the No. 2 match for their third win together this year. The duo of
Gonzalo Gentou and
Soren Rudin-Aulenbach earned a 6-2 win in the No. 3 match to improve to four wins together this season.
Brodsky won a three-set battle in the No. 1 singles match, 6-4, 1-6, 1(10)-0(6), for his third victory of the year. Ashtiani improved to six wins this spring as he claimed a 6-1, 6-1 victory in the No. 2 match. Donnelly continued his strong start to the season as he was victorious in the No. 3 match, 6-4, 7-5, for his sixth win of the season. Rudin-Aulenbach pulled away with a 6-2, 6-3 win in the No. 4 match to pick up his fourth victory of the spring. Arnold cruised by his opponent in the No. 5 match, 6-0, 6-0, for his fourth win this season. Gentou ended the day earning his fourth win of the year as he defeated his opponent, 6-2, 6-0, in the No. 6 match.
No. 37 Franklin & Marshall now turns its attention to its match against Vassar on Thursday, starting at 8:00 a.m.
