Box Score ORLANDO, Fla. – The No. 37 Franklin & Marshall men's tennis team (4-3) narrowly lost Thursday morning's non-conference match to Vassar (6-3), 4-3. The Diplomats jumped in front with a win in doubles, but the Brewers answered with all four of their wins coming in singles to take the match.
The duo of
Zac Ashtiani and
Luke Brodsky earned a 6-2 victory in the No. 1 doubles match to claim their second win together this season. The pairing of
Nate Arnold and
Samuel Donnelly took down their opponents in the No. 2 match, 6-2, to record their second victory together this year.
Donnelly continued his impressive start to the season as he defeated Vassar's Nolan Kubiak, 6-2, 6-4, in the No. 3 match for his sixth singles' win of the spring. Ashtiani tallied his third victory of the season as he outlasted his opponent in the No. 2 match. After a back-and-forth 7(15)-6(13) win in the first set, Ashtiani notched the victory with a win by walkover.
No. 37 Franklin & Marshall returns to action on Friday, taking on Saint John's at 11:00 a.m.
