LANCASTER, Pa. – The Franklin & Marshall women's tennis team (9-8, 6-2 CC) gears up for another appearance in the semifinal round of the Centennial Conference (CC) Tournament. The Diplomats hit the road to take on Haverford (10-10, 7-1 CC) on Thursday, starting at 4:00 p.m. The winner then advances to the CC Championship on Saturday, hosted by the highest remaining seed in the tournament.

CC Tournament History
Franklin & Marshall returns to the semifinal round of the Centennial Conference Tournament for the fourth-consecutive year, matching up with the Fords for the second-straight season. The Diplomats advanced through the semifinals last year with a 4-3 win over the Fords and will look to make it back-to-back seasons with an appearance in the CC Championship match.
F&M needs a win against the Fords to make it back-to-back seasons with double-digit victories, currently sitting at nine so far. Franklin & Marshall is currently ranked No. 45 in the national rankings, while Haverford is ranked No. 36 in the country. Both teams are regionally ranked with F&M holding the No. 10 spot, while Haverford is No. 8 in the Atlantic South.

A Look at the FieldÂ
No. 1 seed Swarthmore comes into the tournament looking to repeat as champions, defeating F&M, 4-1, in last season's title match. Swarthmore enters the playoffs with a 13-6 record, while notching a perfect 8-0 record against CC opponents. The Garnet are ranked as the No. 16 team in the nation, while coming in at fifth in the regional rankings. They will take on fifth-seeded Washington College after the Shorewomen fought off four-seeded Dickinson, 4-3, in Tuesday's first-round matchup. Washington College enters the CC Tournament with an 11-9 overall record and a 4-4 conference record after holding off Bryn Mawr for the final spot in the playoffs.

No. 1 Singles – Natalie Untermeyer
Untermeyer has nine singles' wins this season, playing primarily in the No. 1 match. Untermeyer also has four victories coming against Centennial Conference opponents this year. The sophomore earned CC Athlete of the Week in early-March after leading the Diplomats to a 7-0 sweep over Stevens.
No. 2 Singles – Sahara Ahmad
Ahmad has notched eight singles' victories with four CC wins, primarily playing in No. 2 singles this spring. Ahmad was awarded conference Athlete of the Week for the first time in her career earlier this month after helping F&M down Bryn Mawr and Washington College. The sophomore enters Thursday's match on a four-match winning streak in singles.
No. 3 Singles – Rebecca Bellick
Bellick has a team-leading 14 wins in singles with nine of those victories coming in the No. 3 match. Bellick is 7-3 in her last 10 matches, sporting a four-match winning streak.
No. 4 Singles – Kakie Colclough
Colclough reached double-digit wins for the first time in her career, notching 10 victories with eight coming in No. 4 singles. Colclough also has five wins against CC opponents this season.
No. 5 Singles – Sophia Rhazali
Rhazali has eight singles' wins with a 5-1 record in CC matches this year. Rhazali is currently 7-3 when competing in the No. 5 match, bringing a five-match winning streak into Thursday's contest.
No. 6 Singles – Erin Joo
Joo is 3-1 this season with a 2-0 record against Centennial opponents. Joo is also 2-1 when playing in the No. 6 match.
A Look at DoublesÂ
The No. 1 pairing of
Sahara Ahmad and
Rebecca Bellick enters the Centennial Conference Tournament with a team-best 11-5 overall record and an impressive 7-1 conference record, so far this season. The duo is 8-2 in their last 10 matches, bringing a four-match winning streak into its match against the Fords.
The tandem of
Sophia Rhazali and
Natalie Untermeyer sport an 8-5 overall record and 5-2 record against conference opponents this spring. Rhazali and Untermeyer have also recorded a 7-3 record in their last 10 matches.
Kakie Colclough and
Erin Joo will play their second match together on Thursday. The pairing's lone match together this season was against Dickinson on April 21, falling to the Red Devils, 6-3.
