LANCASTER, Pa. – The Franklin & Marshall women's tennis team had four players named to the All-Centennial Conference (CC) team, as announced by the conference office Thursday afternoon.
Sahara Ahmad was named a second team All-CC selection in singles for the first time in her career. Ahmad earned eight wins with four coming against conference opponents, primarily playing No. 2 singles.
Rebecca Bellick was tabbed an all-conference honorable mention in singles for the first time in her career. Bellick registered a team-high 14 wins with six victories in conference play, primarily playing in No. 3 singles. The senior also ended the season with a four-match winning streak.
The pairing of Ahmad and Bellick earned a spot on the second team for doubles, notching a team-best 11-6 record. The duo earned seven CC victories, ending the season playing in No. 1 doubles. Ahmad and Bellick also record recorded a 7-3 record in its last 10 matches.
The tandem of
Sophia Rhazali and
Natalie Untermeyer were named second team All-CC selections for doubles after tallying eight wins this season. The duo earned five victories against Centennial opponents, ending the year 7-3 in its last 10 matches and holding a four-match winning streak.
Untermeyer was also selected to represent F&M on the CC All-Sportsmanship team for the first time in her career. In addition to her successful season in doubles, Untermeyer notched nine wins in singles, while primarily playing in the No. 1 match.
Franklin & Marshall ended its season with a 9-9 overall record with a 6-2 Centennial Conference record, concluding the year ranked as No. 41 in the nation.
