INDIANAPOLIS, Ind. –
Zac Ashtiani and
Luke Brodsky of the Franklin & Marshall men's tennis team have been named the sixth alternate for the 16-team doubles draw at the NCAA Men's Tennis Championship.
Any doubles team that scratches from the tournament will be replaced in sequential order by the published list of alternates. The draw for the individual championship will be done by the men's tennis committee and will be released on May 22.
Ashtiani and Brodsky look to finish their incredible senior year with a chance to compete in the NCAA Doubles Championship after recording a 14-5 record together this season. The duo ended the spring with a perfect 7-0 record against Centennial Conference (CC) opponents, leading the Diplomats to an appearance in the CC Tournament semifinal match.
Playing every match at No. 1 doubles, Ashtiani and Brodsky are 9-1 in their last 10 matches and are on a seven-match winning streak. The pairing sits at No. 3 in Region III in the NCAA regional rankings, while also being ranked No. 8 in the Atlantic South region.
The NCAA Doubles Championship will be held at Champions Tennis Club in Chattanooga, Tennessee, starting on Saturday, May 23.
