SWARTHMORE, PA -- #25 Swarthmore College swept the singles and doubles matches to hand Franklin & Marshall College their first Centennial Conference defeat of the season 9-0.
The win snaps a three-way tie for first place in the Centennial Conference standings as the Diplomats (6-2, 2-1 CC) fall one match behind Swarthmore (6-2, 3-0 CC) and Muhlenberg (3-5, 3-0 CC) for first place in the standings.
Further, the victory raises Swarthmore's record to 12-22 all-time against Franklin & Marshall in women's tennis as the Garnet have won the last three meetings between the two programs.
Franklin & Marshall (6-2, 2-1 Centennial Conference) will continue the season on April 5 at home versus Muhlenberg College. Match time is set for 4:00 p.m.
